Thursday Night Duels: Head-to-Head Golf Comes to Gregor Clawson
There's nothing quite like a 1v1. Just you, your opponent, and nine holes on the line. Starting September 10th, that's exactly what Thursday nights at Gregor Clawson are all about.
Introducing Thursday Night Duels — a 7-week match play league built around a simple idea: put two golfers in a bay, hand them a scorecard, and see who comes out on top.
## How It Works
Every Thursday, you'll go head-to-head against a new opponent over 9 holes, using your GAM/GHIN handicap to keep things fair. Win holes, lose holes, halve holes — most holes won takes the match. No repeat matchups all season, so you'll see a fresh face (and a fresh challenge) every week.
Flight times are 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM — Gregor assigns your flight week to week, and your full 7-week schedule will be posted before the season starts, so you'll know your times in advance. Every match you play builds points toward one combined season leaderboard.
## The Numbers
- 7-week regular season: September 10 – October 22
- Championship Night: October 29
- Format: 1v1 match play, 9 holes, 2-hour cap per match
- Cost: $75 for members / $180 for non-members — full season
- Optional skins game: $20/week, winner-take-all pot among that week's entrants
- 24 spots total — first-come, first-served, members get first access
## Championship Night Isn't Just for the Top 4
Everyone plays on October 29th. The top 4 on the season leaderboard battle it out in a seeded bracket on Bay 2, while everyone else duels it out on Bays 1 and 3. Every Consolation Bracket player is entered into a prize drawing, the weekly skins pot gets boosted for the night, and everyone who tees it up is entered into a raffle for Gregor prizes. It's the whole club, one more night, closing out the season together.
